As a beautician I am into my skin care big time, but I am also a busy person so I know what its like to not have time for a full on skin care routine ( like Liv Tyler and her 25 step regime) good god Liv rub it in that you have nothing better to do and plenty of money to spend on it.
I have put together what I think are the most important skin care steps to not be missing out on
1. Wash your face twice a day! I know you might be thinking... well yer duh, but you'll be surprised how many people don't.
There are heaps of options of products to use to wash/cleanse your face and it can depend a lot on your skin type, were not going to go into that too much in this article as we will be having a post on "whats your skin type" later
But most people have some idea of their skin type, if its oily or dry, Sensitive or wrinkly, if you have acne or perfect skin. Most products will say on the packaging what kind of skin type or concern they are created to address.

One of my favorite Cleansers Is La Clinica's Sensitive Skin Dermatological Facial Cleanser, this product is suitable for all skin types, even super sensitive ones. It was the only product I could use when my acne rosacea was really sore. Its a great starter cleanser for young girls/boys (as long as they don't have really oily skin) its also suitable for men and doesn't have a really girly flowery scent. Its a good first cleanser if you've never used one or have been using soap, eek Soap.. Shudder....
Sensitive skin cleanser is great for Eczema, dermatitis, rosacea and skin with fragile capillaries.
To purchase head to our store on the website www.zoesbeauty.com.au
2. Next on my list is Moisturizer, again loads of people don't moisturize, they say " I don't have time for that". seriously people??
Unscrew the lid, squirt moisturizer on fingers, rub on face! that's it all 20 seconds of your day gone ... how will you ever get that time back ????
If you don't moisturize your skin will look like an old boot by the time you reach 30.
Even if you have really oily skin you should still be moisturizing daily, its actually even more important, by not moisturizing, your skin will actually produce more oil as it cant produce moisture and is trying to combat the dryness somehow, so it could be by not moisturizing your actually giving yourself pimples!!

Right now I am loving La Clinica's GLY C Refine Stage 1 - Gental Moisture cream.
This product is great for all skin types except very sensitive. Its a great acid based face cream (I know acid based sounds a bit iffy, but it is a lovely Organic acid, derived from sugar cane) Glycolic acid is recommended by dermatologists as one of the most effective skin care ingredients on the market, they also highly recommend Vitamin C for its potent antioxidant power and guess what the 'C' in 'GLY C' stands for? That's right Vitamin C!. GLY C Refine Moisturizers will help refine skin texture, diminish appearance of existing pigmentation and nourish deeply so that's going to help get rid of ya wrinkles.
3. Lastly, see I told you this was easy lemon squeezy, Face scrub !!! arrhhhh ( thats the sound of angels singing)
Exfoliating your face is very important, moisturizer and other products can not be effectively absorbed into the skin through layers of dead skin. yuk
We don't exfoliate every day just once or twice a week it helps the skin look more radiant, helps with the absorption of products, helps to remove excess dirt and unclog pores, it also helps stimulate blood and lymph flow to the face and skin helping to speed up healing and promote a healthy complexion.

I have picked an amazing scrub also from the GLY C range, This scrub is a salon best seller, we use this in our facials. Try it once your hooked!
La clinica GLY C Microdermabrasion Facial Scrub
We love this scrub because of its scrubbyness! Its like a microdermabrasion facial in a tube.
It also has the power of Glycolic acid and vitamin C. If you have been using retinol or having a series of peels this is a must have !!
Visit our salon or go to the online shop to purchase any of these products.
Ok so there are the 3 bare minimum skin care basics Cleanse, Moisturize, Exfoliate
Next time I will be talking about some of my favorite products for ladies and gents that like to spend a bit of time looking after their skin, Iam going to talk about oils, serums, masks and peels yummy .
We offer free skin analysis at the salon, so if your not sure what products would be best for you pop in and have a chat or better still book in for a facial, relax and try some of our beautiful products. Please note that we do not believe in pushing products on clients, or hard sales techniques, if you ask for advice were happy to help.
